Full List: APC Unveils New National Leaders at 8th National Convention

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has concluded its 8th National Convention in Abuja, reaffirming Nentawe Yilwatda as National Chairman and Ajibola Basiru as National Secretary.

The convention, held at Eagle Square, brought together party delegates and stakeholders, who ratified a new National Working Committee (NWC) through a consensus arrangement.

As part of the new leadership structure, Ben Nwoye was appointed Deputy National Chairman (South), replacing Emma Eneukwu following extensive consultations within the party.

Sources indicated that the decision was shaped by zoning considerations and strategic consultations among party leaders, with Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, playing a key role in securing Nwoye’s emergence.

In his acceptance speech, Yilwatda described his re-election as a call to greater service and reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening unity within the party.

“We are ready to serve, ready to lead, and ready to build the party together with the nation,” he said.

He also assured members that the new leadership would not “fail or falter” in discharging its responsibilities.

The convention was attended by President Bola Tinubu, Vice-President Kashim Shettima, state governors, members of the National Assembly, and other prominent party leaders.
