Police Arrest Alfa, Pastor Over Suspected Human Parts Trade
Three men have been arrested in Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital for allegedly possessing and selling suspected human parts.
The State Police Command announced on Tuesday that the arrests followed a stop-and-search operation along Adekile in the Agugu area, during which officers intercepted an unregistered Bajaj Boxer motorcycle carrying a package containing what appeared to be human intestines.
The pillion rider, identified as Oyategbe Joseph, was immediately apprehended.
Joseph reportedly confessed to obtaining the suspected human parts from an unidentified individual in the Oritaperin area and admitted selling them to two men, Alfa Onaolapo Taiwo, 46, and Pastor Ayodele Taiwo, 55.
Acting on this information, police swiftly arrested both buyers, who also admitted to purchasing the items from Joseph.
All three suspects are currently in police custody.
