APC Confirms Existing Zoning Arrangement Ahead of 2026 National Convention
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has confirmed that the current zoning arrangement for positions in its National Working Committee (NWC) will remain in effect for the party’s upcoming 2026 National Convention.
In a press statement issued on March 16, 2026, in Abuja, the party said the decision is in line with the already published 2026 schedule of nationwide congresses, the national convention, and other related party activities.
According to the statement, the existing zoning structure that allocates National Working Committee positions among states within the various geo-political zones remains valid and will guide the emergence of party officials during the convention.
The party therefore advised all aspirants interested in contesting for national offices to strictly comply with the zoning arrangement when purchasing and submitting their Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms ahead of the convention.
The statement, signed by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, emphasized that adherence to the zoning formula is necessary to ensure orderliness and fairness in the party’s internal electoral process.
