OYO SUBEB Distributes Motorcycles to Education Officers To Strengthen Supervision of Schools At Grassroots
The Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (OYO SUBEB) has distributed motorcycles to Monitoring and Evaluation Officers to strengthen effective supervision of public basic schools across the state.
The brief ceremony took place at the OYOSUBEB Headquarters, Agodi, Ibadan, where officers received the motorcycles on behalf of their Local Government Universal Basic Education Authorities (LGUBEAs).
The initiative is aimed at improving mobility, ensuring timely school visits and enhancing efficient monitoring of teaching and learning activities, especially in hard-to-reach communities.
Speaking at the event, the Executive Chairman of OYOSUBEB, Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran, said the gesture underscored the Board’s commitment to quality assurance and improved learning outcomes in Oyo State schools.
He explained that the motorcycles would ease the duties of Monitoring and Evaluation Officers, reduce delays in school inspections and strengthen data-driven decision-making.
He charged the beneficiaries to use the motorcycles responsibly and strictly for official duties, reiterating the Board’s zero tolerance for negligence and poor reporting.
In his remarks, the Coordinator, Forum of Monitoring and Evaluation Officers, Mr. Agbaje Adedeji, thanked the Board for the timely intervention and assured management of renewed dedication to duty.
