Christmas Celebrations: Atayese of Fiditi, Olaoluwa Sponsors Children in Ibadan for Lagelu FM Father Xmas Show
The Atayese of Fiditi and President of the Peter Olaoluwa Foundation (POF), Olaoluwa Peter Abidemi, popularly known as OPA, once again demonstrated his commitment to humanitarian service during the festive season by sponsoring indigent children to attend the Lagelu FM Father Xmas Show in Ibadan.
The charitable gesture, which took place on Saturday, was aimed at ensuring that children from less-privileged backgrounds were not left out of the joy and excitement associated with Christmas celebrations.
Olaoluwa was present at Lagelu FM 96.7 FM as a guest on the station’s popular Saturday morning programme, Bo See Nlo, anchored by renowned broadcaster Temitayo Oyeladun.
The programme, which enjoys wide listenership, provided an opportunity for discussions on community development, culture, and social responsibility, aligning perfectly with Olaoluwa’s philanthropic ideals.
During his visit to the station, OPA became aware of several indigent children who had gathered at the venue but were unable to afford the gate fee required to participate in the Father Xmas Show.
Moved by the spirit of the season, he immediately ordered the payment of the gate fees on behalf of the children, allowing them free access to the event.
Following this kind gesture, more children from the surrounding areas quickly thronged the premises, eager to take part in the celebration.
The atmosphere was filled with excitement as the children enjoyed the festive activities, entertainment, and gifts prepared by the organizers, creating lasting memories for many who might otherwise have missed out.
OPA used the opportunity to commend Lagelu FM for consistently organizing child-focused programmes, particularly the Father Xmas Show, which he described as impactful and timely.
He noted that such initiatives play a vital role in promoting happiness, inclusiveness, and emotional well-being among children, especially during festive periods like Christmas.
He further emphasized the importance of collective efforts in caring for the younger generation, encouraging individuals and organizations to support initiatives that uplift children and give them hope.
According to him, putting smiles on the faces of children during the festive season is not only a moral responsibility but also an investment in a brighter and more compassionate future for society.
