2027: INEC Releases Final List Of 18 Presidential Candidates, Running Mates

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released the final list of 18 presidential candidates and their running mates for the 2027 general elections.

The list, released in a statement by the Secretary to the Commission, Rose Oriaran-Anthony, contains the presidential candidates nominated by 18 political parties participating in the presidential election.

According to the commission, 16 of the presidential candidates are male, while two are female. The female presidential candidates are Ada Elizabeth Fredrick Okwori of the National Democratic Party (NDP) and Nkem Esther Okereke of the National Rescue Movement (NRM).

The list also shows that 14 of the vice-presidential candidates are male, while four are female.

The candidates and their running mates, as released by INEC, are:
