CDCFIB shortlists NSCDC, Immigration, Correctional, Fire Service applicants for oral interview

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced dates for shortlisted candidates in its 2024/2025 recruitment exercise to check their status and participate in the oral interview stage.

The announcement was contained in a statement issued on Friday by the Secretary to the Board, Maj.-Gen. A. M. Jibril (rtd.).

According to the statement, candidates who applied under the graduate category are required to check their status on the official CDCFIB recruitment portal from Monday, August 31, to Wednesday, September 2, 2026.

Candidates who applied with NCE, OND and SSCE qualifications are to check the portal from Monday, September 7, to Wednesday, September 9, 2026, to determine whether they have been shortlisted for the oral interview.

The Board said the shortlisting followed the completion of the assessment process for candidates who participated in the physical and medical screening exercise for recruitment into the Nigerian Correctional Service, Nigerian Immigration Service, Federal Fire Service and Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps.

Jibril urged applicants to rely only on the Board’s official recruitment portal for information concerning the exercise.

He also warned candidates against fraudsters, stressing that the Board would not request payment from applicants at any stage of the recruitment process.

The statement read in part:

“The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board, CDCFIB, hereby notifies candidates who took part in the recently concluded physical and medical screening exercise for recruitment into the Nigerian Correctional Service, Nigerian Immigration Service, Federal Fire Service, and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps that the Board has concluded the assessment and shortlisting process.

“Consequently, all successful candidates who applied under the graduate category are required to visit the official CDCFIB recruitment portal, recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng, from Monday, August 31, to Wednesday, September 2, 2026.

“Candidates who applied with NCE, OND and SSCE qualifications should also visit the same portal from Monday, September 7, to Wednesday, September 9, 2026, to check if they have been shortlisted for the oral interview.”

The Board further advised candidates to disregard any demand for payment in connection with the recruitment exercise and report such requests to the appropriate authorities.

It added that all official communication concerning the recruitment process would be made through its official portal and not via email.

Applicants are therefore advised to monitor the CDCFIB portal closely within the specified dates and follow all instructions provided by the Board.
