Poco Lee’s management speaks on ‘drink spiking’ claims in UK case

The management of Nigerian dancer Poco Lee has reacted to claims referencing “drink spiking” in connection with his ongoing legal case in the United Kingdom, dismissing the claims as unrelated to the allegations before the court.

In a public notice dated August 25, 2026, the management expressed concern over what it described as the circulation of unverified narratives surrounding the case.

The team specifically stated that claims involving “drink spiking”, among other allegations being circulated online, do not form part of the charges or allegations before the UK court.

“We are particularly concerned by the volume of unverified narratives currently circulating, including claims referencing ‘drink spiking’, among other allegations, which do not form part of any of the allegations or charges before the court,” the management said.

It urged members of the public and the media to refrain from introducing details that are not contained in the actual court case, warning that such reports could fuel misinformation and unfairly prejudice the parties involved.

“We ask the public and media to desist from introducing details that are not part of the actual case, as doing so only fuels misinformation and causes unfair prejudice to all parties involved,” the statement added.

The management further appealed to the public to allow the legal process to run its course, stressing that allegations should not be interpreted as proof of guilt.

“Allegations are not evidence of guilt, and no conclusions should be drawn until the matter has been heard and determined through the appropriate legal process,” the team said.

It maintained that the case should be allowed to proceed through the appropriate judicial process, while urging the public to rely on verified information rather than unsubstantiated claims circulating online.
