2027: Tinubu, Adeleke Hold Closed-Door Meeting at Aso Rock Villa

President Bola Tinubu is currently meeting with Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Adeleke arrived at the Presidential Villa at about 5:25pm on Thursday for the closed-door meeting with the President. He was dressed in navy blue traditional attire and carried a walking stick as he alighted from a black Toyota Land Cruiser SUV.

The governor was accompanied by the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu. The meeting is Adeleke’s first with President Tinubu since his re-election in last Saturday’s Osun State governorship election.

The visit came days after Tinubu personally congratulated Adeleke on his re-election victory, describing the outcome as an assurance that democracy would continue to flourish in Nigeria.

The President had also urged the governor to unite residents of Osun State, irrespective of their political affiliations and choices during the election.

Also seen arriving at the Presidential Villa were the Director-General of the Adeleke Campaign Council, Senator Lere Oyewumi; a member of the council, Sunday Bisi; the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Akinleye Kazeem; and the member representing Ede North/Ede South/Egbedore/Ejigbo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Bamidele Salam.

Details of the meeting were not immediately available as of the time of filing this report.
