I’m an Actor, Not a Politician; Trending Makinde Video Was a Movie Scene – Digboluja

Popular Yoruba actor, Taofeek Adewale, popularly known as Digboluja, has distanced himself from a trending video perceived by some as a criticism of Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, clarifying that the clip was extracted from a movie and taken out of context.

In a clarification video shared online, the actor stressed that he is an entertainer and not a politician, adding that he harbours no ill feelings or opposition towards the administration of Governor Makinde.

Digboluja explained that the controversial video was merely a scene from the Yoruba movie Agesinkole (King of Thieves) Part 2 and was never intended to be interpreted as a political statement or commentary on the governor or his administration.

He urged members of the public to avoid misconstruing the clip, noting that it was circulated without the full context of the film in which it featured.

The actor reaffirmed his commitment to his profession in the entertainment industry, maintaining that he remains focused on acting and should not be dragged into political controversies over scenes performed in the course of his work.
