Oyo Fire Service Contains Blaze at National Museum
The Oyo State Fire Services Agency, Oyo Zonal Command, has successfully contained a fire outbreak involving a generator attached to a telecommunications mast at the National Museum, Aafin, Oyo, preventing the blaze from spreading to nearby facilities.
The agency disclosed that the distress call was received through a running call and a report by Mrs. Yetunfe Adeleke, informing firefighters of a fire at the location.
A team of firefighters led by Fire Officer Adepoju Muideen was immediately deployed to the scene.
On arrival, the firefighters swiftly brought the situation under control, successfully restricting the fire from spreading to other telecommunications equipment and a nearby medical centre.
Following the successful operation, the firefighting crew returned to their duty posts and resumed operational standby.
