Just In: Governor Makinde to Storm Orire Local Government Over Killing of Park Officers, Bandits’ Threats

Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, has announced plans to visit Orire Local Government Area following the killing of National Park officers by suspected bandits in the area.
The governor made this known during the annual interfaith prayer session held at the Agodi Secretariat, Ibadan, where he expressed sympathy with the families of the deceased officers and described the incident as a serious security concern for the state.
Governor Makinde said he would be in Orire Local Government before Friday to assess the situation on ground and engage with relevant security agencies on measures to prevent further attacks.
He called on residents of the area to remain calm but vigilant, urging them to report any suspicious activities or security threats to law enforcement agencies.
The governor assured that his administration would not relent in its efforts to protect lives and property, stressing that those behind the attack would be brought to justice.
Recall that the killing of the park officers at Oloka has heightened concerns over banditry and security threats in the axis, prompting renewed calls for stronger security presence in the area.
