Describes Late Philanthropist as a Rare Breed Whose Legacy Continues to Shape Lives Across Ibarapaland

Thirty-five years after the death of one of Ibarapaland’s most revered sons, Late Chief Adeseun Ayisa Ogundoyin, tributes have continued to pour in for the legendary philanthropist whose impact remains etched in the hearts of many.

Leading the chorus of remembrance is Hon. Abdul Akeem Akintola Adebayo Kuso, Chairmanship Aspirant for Ibarapa East Local Government in the forthcoming 2026 election, who has described the late community leader as “a man whose legacy has refused to fade with time.”

In a statement released to commemorate the 35th anniversary of Chief Ogundoyin’s passing, Kuso said the late icon’s extraordinary commitment to humanity, education, community development and youth empowerment distinguished him as one of the most influential personalities ever produced by Ibarapaland.

According to him, while many people are remembered for what they accumulated, Chief Ogundoyin is remembered for what he gave away.

“Thirty-five years after his departure, the name Adeseun Ayisa Ogundoyin still evokes gratitude, admiration and respect. His life remains a testimony that true greatness lies in service to humanity,” Kuso said.

The chairmanship hopeful noted that Chief Ogundoyin’s generosity transcended social class, religion and political affiliation, as he consistently extended helping hands to the needy, sponsored educational pursuits and supported countless families in difficult times.

He added that the late philanthropist’s contributions to human development were so profound that decades after his death, his name remains synonymous with compassion, selflessness and community service.

“He was a builder of people, a giver of hope and a champion of the less privileged. His life reminds us that leadership is not measured by wealth or position but by the positive difference we make in the lives of others,” Kuso stated.

The aspirant further observed that Chief Ogundoyin’s enduring legacy is reflected in the institution that bears his name, Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa, as well as in the countless beneficiaries of his kindness who continue to tell stories of his generosity.

Describing the late statesman as a visionary far ahead of his time, Kuso said the people of Ibarapa remain indebted to him for his unwavering commitment to the progress and development of the region.

He urged political office holders, community leaders and young people to draw inspiration from the values that defined Chief Ogundoyin’s life.

“At a time when society yearns for exemplary leadership, the life of Chief Adeseun Ogundoyin stands as a beacon of integrity, sacrifice and genuine love for humanity. His story teaches us that a meaningful life is one spent lifting others,” he said.

Kuso concluded by praying for the continued repose of the late philanthropist’s soul and called on residents of Ibarapa East to preserve and promote the values he represented.

As memories of Chief Adeseun Ayisa Ogundoyin continue to resonate across generations, one fact remains undeniable: though he passed away 35 years ago, his influence still lives on in schools, communities, families and countless hearts touched by his generosity.

“Death ended his journey, but not his impact. Thirty-five years later, his legacy still speaks louder than words.”
