Gov. Yusuf Approves ₦20,000 Sallah Gift for Kano Civil Servants

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has approved the payment of ₦20,000 as Sallah support for civil servants in Kano State ahead of the forthcoming Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.

The gesture, which comes shortly after the payment of May 2026 salaries, is aimed at assisting workers to meet the financial demands associated with the festive season amid prevailing economic challenges across the country.

According to a statement issued by Musa Tanko Mohammed, the intervention will benefit civil servants on Grade Levels 01 to 14 working in state ministries as well as employees of local government councils across the state.

The statement explained that the governor approved the package as part of efforts to ease the burden on workers and enable them to celebrate the Eid-el-Kabir festival with joy, comfort and renewed hope alongside their families and loved ones.

It further noted that the administration remains committed to prioritising workers’ welfare through policies and programmes aimed at improving productivity and sustaining a motivated public service capable of delivering quality service to the people of Kano State.

The government also used the opportunity to extend Eid-el-Kabir greetings to civil servants and residents of the state, praying for peace, unity, prosperity and continued blessings for Kano State and Nigeria as a whole.

The approval of the Sallah package is expected to bring relief to thousands of workers as preparations intensify for the Muslim festival, which is widely celebrated across northern Nigeria with prayers, feasting and acts of charity.
