Oyo Police Deploy Operatives Across State Ahead Sallah Celebrations
The Oyo State Police Command has deployed security operatives across the state ahead of the Sallah celebrations to ensure the safety of residents and maintain law and order during the festive period.
The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ayanlade Olayinka, disclosed that strategic security measures have been put in place across major towns, worship centres, highways, recreational centres, and other public locations.
According to him, security agencies are currently monitoring activities across the state while round-the-clock operations continue to prevent any security breach.
“We have deployed operatives for the Sallah festivities, and everywhere is being monitored,” he said.
Ayanlade stated that the Command is also leveraging intelligence gathering and technology-driven operations to strengthen security across the state, although certain details cannot be disclosed for operational reasons.
“We are leveraging technology, but I cannot reveal much for security and investigation purposes,” he added.
The police spokesperson reassured residents that the Command remains committed to protecting lives and property and would not relent in its efforts to tackle criminal activities.
“The police will not bow to terror,” he stated.
Residents were urged to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies by reporting suspicious movements and activities during the festive period.
