Kuso Hails Emerging PDP-APM Alliance, Urges Massive Support for Makinde’s Political Direction
A leading chairmanship aspirant for Ibarapa East Local Government Hon. Abdul Akeem Akintola Kuso, has thrown his full support behind the growing political understanding and alliance between the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and the APM in Oyo State.
Kuso described the emerging collaboration as a bold and strategic step towards strengthening grassroots politics, deepening democratic participation and sustaining the developmental vision championed by Governor Seyi Makinde.
Speaking with journalists on Tuesday, the grassroots politician said the political alignment between both parties has become necessary in view of the need to consolidate progressive governance, unity and political stability across the state.
According to him, Governor Makinde has continued to distinguish himself as a leader with uncommon political wisdom, administrative competence and genuine concern for the welfare of the people, adding that many political actors across party lines now identify with his leadership style and developmental agenda.
Kuso noted that the alliance being championed by loyalists and stakeholders within both political parties would further strengthen democratic structures and create wider opportunities for political inclusion at the grassroots level.
“The coming together of PDP and APM is a welcome development. It shows that progressive-minded politicians are ready to work together in the interest of the people. Governor Seyi Makinde has shown sincerity, maturity and leadership capacity worthy of support from all well-meaning stakeholders,” he stated.
He urged members and supporters of both parties not to entertain fear or political uncertainty, stressing that the alliance was built on mutual understanding, shared progressive ideals and collective interest for the advancement of Oyo State.
Kuso further appealed to party faithfuls, youths, women groups and political supporters across the state to continue believing in Governor Makinde and support every genuine effort aimed at strengthening unity among progressive forces.
He maintained that Governor Makinde’s style of governance has continued to attract admiration beyond party boundaries due to his commitment to infrastructure development, workers’ welfare, education, healthcare and grassroots empowerment.
The Ibarapa East aspirant also reaffirmed his total loyalty to the governor’s political vision and mission, assuring that he would continue to stand firmly with every movement designed to advance peace, development and political stability within the state.
“My support and loyalty to Governor Seyi Makinde remain unshaken. I strongly believe in his mission, his leadership direction and his genuine passion for the growth of Oyo State. The PDP-APM understanding is a positive step that deserves the support of all party faithfuls and the people,” Kuso added.
He expressed confidence that the growing cooperation between the two political platforms would further strengthen grassroots mobilization ahead of future political engagements in the state.
Kuso, however, called on supporters across Ibarapa East and Oyo State to remain peaceful, united and law-abiding while continuing to support leaders committed to good governance and people-oriented administration.
