Orankan Unveils Vision for Oyo Central Senatorial District at ACCORD Mega Declaration in Oluyole

The mega declaration of intention of the ACCORD Party in Oluyole Local Government Area has provided another major platform for Ambassador Shakirullah Jimoh-Orankan to unveil his vision for the people of Oyo Central Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The colourful event, held at Jogbin Community Primary School, attracted top party leaders, supporters and residents in large numbers. Among dignitaries present were the party’s National Secretary, Adebukola Abiola Ajaja, and members of the Oyo State Working Committee led by Prince Kolade Ojo.

Ambassador Orankan arrived at the venue in a motorcade welcomed by enthusiastic supporters dressed in yellow-branded T-shirts and fez caps, waving banners and placards bearing his image alongside that of governorship hopeful Oriyomi Hamzat.

Despite the rainfall during the programme, supporters remained at the venue and gave standing ovations as Orankan and Hamzat addressed the gathering.

Speaking during a media interaction, Orankan said his senatorial ambition was driven by service to humanity rather than personal gain.

“Our constituency deserves humane and purposeful representation. We must transform our challenges into opportunities,” he said.

The Oyo Central Senatorial District hopeful stated that he has a comprehensive plan to address the welfare needs of constituents from birth to old age through effective and responsible legislation.

He added that Nigeria has sufficient resources to cater for its citizens and pledged to ensure fair access to the nation’s common wealth if elected.

Orankan also highlighted his record in community development, citing projects such as solar-powered boreholes, schools, orphanages and hospitals, including a multi-billion naira medical facility in the Mosfala area of Ibadan.

He promised to facilitate more developmental projects and quality representation for the people of Oyo Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly.

The aspirant described himself as a committed provider of social amenities who serves people irrespective of religion, ethnicity or social status.

He commended party supporters, members of the Orankan Support Group (OSG), leadership of the Irorun-Ni Charitable Foundation Nigeria, party leaders and residents for their continued support.

Orankan urged them to sustain mobilisation efforts to ensure victory for ACCORD Party in the 2027 general elections.
