NSCDC, NIS, FFS Recruitment: 221,996 Applicants Score Below 40;  360,923 Disqualified by CDCFIB

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has revealed that 221,996 applicants scored between 0 and 40 in its ongoing recruitment examination, while 360,923 others were disqualified during the screening process.

The newly released figures, published on the recruitment portal, show that hundreds of thousands of candidates may no longer be in contention as the board moves toward the next phase of the exercise.

According to the breakdown of results, candidates who scored between 0 and 40 represent one of the lowest-performing categories in the examination, while those disqualified were screened out over various issues identified during the application process.

CDCFIB stated that progression to the next stage will be based strictly on merit, adding that only top-performing candidates from each state will be shortlisted for further screening.

The board also disclosed that 1,120,491 applications were successfully completed, while 432,935 applications were left incomplete.

The board further released a detailed breakdown of candidates’ examination performance. According to the figures:

  • 221,996 candidates scored between 0 and 40
  • 229,155 candidates scored between 41 and 60
  • 278,543 candidates scored between 61 and 80
  • 108,142 candidates scored between 81 and 90
  • 34,555 candidates scored between 91 and 100

The update comes after weeks of uncertainty among applicants following delays in communication and temporary inaccessibility of the recruitment portal. With the portal now reopened, candidates are expected to check their status and await further instructions.
