ADC Announces New Venue for National Convention in Abuja

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has confirmed a new venue for its national convention scheduled to hold in Abuja on Tuesday, April 14.

Earlier on Monday, the party disclosed that it had been denied access to both Eagle Square and the Moshood Abiola National Stadium—venues initially considered for the event.

According to the ADC, it had formally written to the office of Nyesom Wike, minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), requesting approval to use Eagle Square. While the request was acknowledged, the party said it did not receive an official response.

In a subsequent statement, however, the ADC announced that the convention will now take place at the Rainbow Event Center in Abuja.

The party noted that the new venue offers a central and accessible location, suitable for accommodating delegates and stakeholders expected from across the country.

“The choice of Abuja underscores the national significance of the gathering and sets the stage for a well-coordinated convention in a vibrant hub that is easily reachable for participants from all parts of Nigeria,” the statement added.
