Police Recover Stolen Motorcycle, Arrest Two Suspects in Ibadan
The Oyo State Police Command has recovered a stolen motorcycle and arrested two suspects allegedly linked to the theft in Ibadan.
According to the command, a report was received at the Ile-Ido Divisional Headquarters after one Olaoye informed the police that his motorcycle, with registration number GMD 361 QQ, which had earlier been stolen, had been sighted in an uncompleted building at the Ariyon area along the Ologuneru–Ido Road in Ibadan.
Acting promptly on the tip-off, a team of police officers led by the Divisional Police Officer of Ile-Ido Division moved to the location and successfully recovered the motorcycle.
During the operation, two suspects identified as Sanusi Audu and Amisu Sani were arrested at the scene and taken into custody for further investigation.
Preliminary interrogation revealed that the suspects allegedly stole the motorcycle from where it was parked at Lapade Village via Ile-Ido in Ibadan.
Police authorities said the suspects confessed to the crime, while investigations are ongoing to determine whether they are connected to other criminal activities in the area.
