APC Gains Momentum in Ibadan as Honorable Olawale Shasha Eniyan, Supporters Join Ruling Party in Grand Reception from ADP
A prominent grassroots politician and former ADP councillorship candidate in the 2023 elections, Honorable Olawale Abiola, popularly known as Shasha Eniyan, has officially joined the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
His formal reception into the APC was held on Wednesday at Wesley Practicing School, Elekuro, Ibadan, during the party’s Ward 6 meeting.
The meeting was chaired by Honorable Gbade Akinola, fondly known as Student, alongside the Ward Secretary, Honorable Akeeb Tijani.
The event witnessed a large turnout of party members who gathered to warmly welcome Hon. Olawale and his supporters into the party.
Speaking on behalf of APC members in Ward 6, the Ward Chairman, Hon. Gbade Akinola (Student), expressed his delight at the defection.
He described Hon. Olawale as a seasoned political gladiator, noting that politics is a game of numbers and that the party grows stronger with every new addition.
Other notable party leaders present at the meeting included Alhaji Sodiq Eleta, Honorable Tajudeen Asan’ke, Comrade Dauda Yusuf, Honorable Bola Bamgbade, and Chief Tijani Rafiu, popularly known as Jakan.
In his remarks, Hon. Shasha Eniyan expressed gratitude to the APC leadership and members for the warm reception accorded to him and his supporters.
He pledged to work collaboratively with party leaders and members before, during, and after the 2027 general elections.
He further appreciated the overwhelming show of support at the meeting, declaring that they are now united as one big family.
Among those who accompanied Hon. Olawale to the meeting were Alhaji Abdulquadri Olubodun, Alhaji Abdulazeez Akorede, Mr. Hassan Abdulsalam, Mrs. Olawale Mariam, and several others.
Honorable Olawale also appreciated the APC leaders in the state for holding the base.
He specifically recognized the efforts of Honorable Barrister Abdulfatai Adesina Adeniyi Tiwantiwa in making the party formidable.
