‎CAC Marks 35th Anniversary, Unveils AI-Powered Website, Offers 3,500 Free Business Name Registrations

‎The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has unveiled a newly redesigned website embedded with an AI-powered Lawyer Assistant, aimed at deepening the ease of doing business in Nigeria.

‎The milestone was announced on Monday at the opening ceremony of the CAC@35 anniversary celebration held in Abuja.

‎Speaking at the unveiling, the Registrar-General and Chief Executive Officer of CAC, Hussaini Ishaq Magaji, SAN, explained that the relaunch represents a complete overhaul of the Commission’s digital platform, introducing two groundbreaking innovations.

‎According to him, the first is an AI Lawyer Assistant, which allows users to ask questions on CAC laws, rules, guidelines, procedures, and operations, and receive instant and accurate responses.

‎The second feature is an AI Name Generator, designed to enable users to generate and reserve scalable business names directly on the CAC website with greater ease, speed, and convenience.

‎In the spirit of the 35th anniversary celebration, the Registrar-General announced free business name registration for 3,500 small businesses, to be distributed across the 36 states of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory.

‎He also announced additional incentives, including scholarships for six outstanding corporate law students from each of the six campuses of the Nigerian Law School for the 2026 academic year.

‎As part of the Commission’s corporate social responsibility, Magaji disclosed the donation of 120 mattresses to an Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp, alongside a commemorative staff bonus equivalent to 25 per cent of one month’s gross salary, special car loan schemes, and special housing loan packages for staff.

‎The anniversary event attracted top government officials, captains of industry, and other distinguished guests, including a former Governor of Bauchi State, Malam Isa Yuguda.
