Using Phone While Driving Will Put You in Trouble__  FRSC



‎The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Sector Commander in Oyo State, Mrs. Rosemary Alo, has cautioned motorists in the state against the use of mobile phones while driving, warning that the practice has contributed significantly to road crashes.

‎Speaking with journalists in Ibadan, the state capital, Mrs. Alo highlighted the dangers associated with distracted driving, noting that many lives have been lost as a result of motorists’ disregard for traffic regulations.

‎According to her, a large percentage of road crashes occur because drivers are distracted while behind the wheel.

‎She stressed that the Corps does not want casualties on the roads and urged all motorists to take full responsibility for the act of driving by staying focused at all times.

‎Mrs. Alo further warned that the FRSC would no longer tolerate violations of traffic rules, particularly the use of mobile phones while driving.

‎She stated that erring motorists would face appropriate sanctions in line with existing traffic laws, adding that enforcement patrols have been intensified across the state to ensure compliance.

‎The sector commander also reaffirmed the FRSC’s commitment to continuous traffic monitoring in Oyo State, assuring residents that traffic regulations would be strictly enforced to promote safer roads and protect lives.
