Dembab @ 50: Ladoja, Top Government Officials, Captains of Industry for Babalola’s Golden Jubilee

Top government officials, captains of industry, traditional rulers and media personalities are expected to converge on Ibadan as a former two-term Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Oyo State Council, Chief Ademola Babalola, and his wife, Monsurat, celebrate their 50th and 45th birthdays respectively.

Leading the traditional rulers expected at the event is the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Arusa I.

The celebration, tagged “Dembab @ 50,” will hold on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Felicia Hall, Jogor Centre, Liberty Road, Ibadan, by 11 am. The planning committee said all arrangements had been concluded for the event.

Chairman of the planning committee and Chief Operating Officer of Honour FM, Mr Seun Awodele, popularly known as “Sam Awo,” said the venue was expected to attract prominent personalities from different sectors of society.

Apart from top government officials and captains of industry, Awodele said business stakeholders, political figures, media personalities, celebrities, friends and family members would also be present to honour the celebrants.

On entertainment, Awodele disclosed that popular juju musician, Yinka James, also known as Adonai, would thrill guests with his music.

The event is being packaged by Seyichicago of Apreel 1 Events Management.

The organisers said the colour code for the celebration is white and gold, with a touch of royal blue.

Awodele also assured guests of adequate security arrangements throughout the event.
