“Oke Mosan Is Neither A Beer Parlour Nor A Smoking Den” – Yayi Tells PDP, Lado

The Ogun State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi has dared his rival and candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to desist from beer palour and tell the people of Ogun State what he will do differently.

Senator Yayi Stated this at the official launch and mobilisation of over four thousand electorates across Ogun Central Senatorial district on Thursday.

The event put together by The Central Pillar (TCP) was also witnessed by other leaders of the party.

Senator Yayi said he will continue to reiterate that every political contest ought to be a contest of ideas, records, vision, and capacity.

“Yet, whenever Ladi Adebutu and his cronies are given an opportunity to tell the people of Ogun State what they intend to do with the mandate they are seeking, the conversation repeatedly turns back to YAYI. Where he was born, where his parents came from and whether he is an indigene of Ogun State or not.

“To be honest, I find that curious.

“If you are seeking to govern a sophisticated state like Ogun, you should be able to tell the people what you intend to do about their roads, schools, hospitals, industries, jobs, security, agriculture, investment and human capital development. Tell them the policies you will introduce and how you intend to finance them. Tell them what experience you are bringing to the table.

“Don’t spend every available platform discussing YAYI.”

Yayi said Oke-Mosan is not a beer parlour but a place where political arguments are seasoned like pork meat with pepper and washed down with a sip of Hennessy, rather, a seat of government.

“It is where serious decisions affecting millions of Ogun people are made. It requires a serious-minded person who understands governance, public finance, institutions, development planning, and the enormous responsibility that comes with occupying the office of governor.

“That is why I believe Ogun people should demand substance from everyone asking for their votes.

In his address of welcome, the Chairman, The Central Pillars, High Chief Femi Majekodunmi
said Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi is a visionary, a proven reformer, and a true servant of the people who is a leader that understands that governance is a sacred trust.

“Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi is here to give us a clear roadmap—a contract with the people of Ogun State to deliver real, tangible development.

“He will fix our critical roads—rural and urban—and ensuring that every community in Ogun State is safe for families and businesses to thrive.

“It lies in your thumbs! We have the numbers, we have the passion, and we have the right candidate. But rallies alone do not win elections. Votes win elections. Therefore, I charge every single one of you here today to be our true Ambassadors.

“Take this message from this rally ground back to your streets, your markets, your churches, and your mosques.”

Also, the convener, Hon Kayode Amusan said the event is not just a political rally but a movement for the collective voice of the people of Ogun State saying.

“From historic hills of Abeokuta; to the agricultural heartlands of Odeda to the bustling zone of Ifo and Ewekoroto down to Obafemi Owode, the message is clear. Ogun State is ready to march forward into unprecedented progress, and today, we stand firmly behind the one leader who will take us there, Senator Solomon Adeola Yayi.

Let me briefly tell you about The Central Pillar, TCP.

“It all began few months ago after a few like minds project into the political future of the district citing the past and reference and ensuring the errors are correctedin this present political dispensation.”

“Since our formation, we had embarked on many programmes and events that had added great political values to our party and our governorship candidates.”
