Oyo Government Hints At Increased Welfare Package For Converted Civil Servants, Charges Them To Work Hard
The Oyo State Government has hinted at an improved welfare package for newly converted and transferred civil servants in the state, while charging them to reciprocate the gesture with increased commitment, professionalism and productivity.
The Chairman of the Oyo State Civil Service Commission, Alhaji Kamorudeen Aderibigbe, gave the charge during an orientation programme organised for 654 officers whose conversions and transfers of service had been approved across various ministries, departments and agencies of the state government.
Aderibigbe said the conversion and transfer of service marked a new phase in the careers of the affected officers, stressing that the development should be seen not merely as a career progression but as a call to greater responsibility, professionalism and accountability.
He urged the officers to work hard, demonstrate competence and remain good ambassadors of the Oyo State Government and the Civil Service Commission, while encouraging them to continually develop themselves professionally.
The chairman explained that the orientation would expose the officers to important aspects of public service, including official conduct, administrative procedures, career progression, performance expectations, discipline and accountability.
