Oyo Community, Social Development Agency Confirms Enough Funding From Government to Execute Targeted Projects
The Chairman of the Oyo State Community and Social Development Agency (OYCSDA), Honourable Abideen Adetokunbo Adeaga, has said funding from the Oyo State Government has enabled the agency to execute several community-based projects across the state.
Adeaga made this known during a recent interview, where he outlined the scope and impact of projects implemented by the agency so far, particularly in the areas of healthcare, education, flood management, pipe-borne water, and other essential infrastructure.
According to him, the agency’s interventions have improved learning conditions through the construction and rehabilitation of classrooms, while new health centres have been built to expand access to basic healthcare services at the community level.
He also disclosed that the agency has carried out erosion control and flood management projects, including the construction of culverts and drainage systems, to reconnect communities previously cut off during the rainy season.

The OYCSDA boss noted that while the agency has made progress, it continues to face challenges in project supervision and monitoring, especially given the size of the state and the large number of communities involved.
Adeaga also pointed to concerns about vandalism and poor maintenance of public infrastructure in some communities, which he said affects the longevity of completed projects.
Despite these challenges, he said the agency remains focused on delivering community development projects and improving basic amenities across the state within the scope of its mandate.
